First Mates Mention
Are you ready??? We’re gearing up to open our club once again for 2010, and the excitement is in the air!
Fash Bash 2010 was an outstanding event and quite a success!!! We would like to thank the committee, officers, and organizers for their time and wonderful efforts in making this event one to remember. The attendance was over 180, and we our proud to say, a profitable event, too. Thanks most of all to those that attended; your support is greatly appreciated.
Sneek-Peek at the Boutique – Saturday May 22
Please make time to check out our new items at the Boutique at the 2nd work party, Saturday, May 22. This is your first chance to see what’s new!!!!
Some of our new items include: pj pants, kids flip flops, men’s fishing shirts, ladies zip-up jackets, and pull on wind shirts.
Opening Weekend - 2010 - The First Mates general membership meeting will be Saturday, May 29th at 10:00 a.m. in the clubhouse.

Memorial weekend – NCYC Beach Party theme
This opening weekend, the First Mates will be hosting a welcome party at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 29th with specialty drinks and appetizers on the patio (weather permitting). We ask all First Mates to bring a dish to pass for this event. The cost per person will be $5 and this is always a nice way to meet new members, as well as catch up with many friends that we may have missed over the winter.
We will also be having a Beach Basket auction with many fun items that everyone must have for the upcoming summer. Please contact Barb Vanover, our Social Director, should you like to donate any items for the basket auction. Your help is always appreciated and a vital element of our success!!!
We are looking forward to another memorable year at our beautiful club . . . see you all there SOON!!!!!
