NCYC BOARD TAKES ACTION TO AID PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

 

 
Due to a still-sluggish economy, the NCYC has temporarily lowered its Initiation Fee for Regular members by almost 55% for the first time in Club history.   Contrary to the standard terms described below, the Initiation Fee will be reduced from $1100 to only $500 until Memorial Day of 2013. 
 

 

This single $500 Initiation Fee continues to include spouses and member children under 21.    Prospective members already on our waiting list are also included.   Importantly, this reduction WILL NOT be offset by an increase in our nominal $700 annual Dues for 2013.

If you’re interested in a destination club whose members value a genuinely congenial culture, you’ve come to the right place.

 

Regular membership includes the member, spouse and dependents under the age of 21.  Junior and Senior members generally come from the ranks of regular members as they reach the age of 21 and 62 respectively.  Non-Boating members are generally former boaters who have belonged to the Club for some time.

 

New members pay a non-refundable application fee of $250 which is applied to an Initiation Fee of $1100 if you join us.  With Board approval, the remaining $850 can be paid over the first two years of membership in equal installments (see notice above).

 

Thanks to low operating costs resulting from member service, our dues are only $700 per annum for Regular membership.

 

Each Regular member is asked to serve the Club a total of 20 hours per year.  This includes 16 hours at the Club during a weekend(s) “in season” and 4 hours hosting a special event or serving on a springtime club-opening work party. Both member and spouse hours are counted in the 20 hour total. Members will be asked to pay $25 for each required hour not worked
